Integrated Farm Assurance Standard
The Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard is the GFSI-recognized, globally preferred flagship GLOBALG.A.P. standard. It is risk-based and covers food safety, environmental sustainability, worker health and safety, and traceability at farm level.
Harmonized
Produce Safety Standard
The Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS) is a GFSI-recognized food safety and traceability standard intended for the North American market and is aligned with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The criteria were developed by the United Fresh Produce GAP Harmonization Initiative before being integrated into the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system rules to create HPSS.
Produce Handling Assurance Standard
The Produce Handling Assurance (PHA) standard, which will be GFSI-recognized from mid-2021 onward, is a post-harvest certification option. It can apply to standalone packing operations or combined with IFA or HPSS to allow a streamlined audit experience for both the farm and the packhouse. PHA is risk-based, includes HACCP, and is aligned with FSMA.
