Vice President / Chief Integrity Officer

Throughout 2022, the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat put forward new solutions that ensure our quality continues to meet the high expectations that we have set for over two decades.

The enhancement of GLOBALG.A.P. IT systems, publication of the new trademarks policy, and launch of our smart farm assurance solutions strategy – spearheaded by the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) v6 standard – highlight our ongoing work in strengthening the consistent implementation of GLOBALG.A.P. standards around the globe.

While the global pandemic continued to push businesses to adapt operations in the last year, such disruption and change made transparency more essential than ever. Remote audits remained available through the GLOBALG.A.P. Remote procedure, and all GLOBALG.A.P. trainings were held online.

In this report, you can discover more about the activities and highlights of the Integrity Program in 2022.

About the Integrity Program

The Integrity Program, the first of its kind in food certification, has been closely monitoring GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification bodies and their activities since 2008.

With over 2,900 auditors working for more than 190 accredited certification bodies certifying hundreds of products, keeping the confidence of our stakeholders is our top priority. Our flagship IFA standard alone covers over 750 products and almost 200,000 producers across more than 130 countries on five continents.*

The Integrity Program is designed to ensure the consistent delivery and implementation of GLOBALG.A.P. standards worldwide. It also acts as a feedback mechanism serving the continuous improvement of the GLOBALG.A.P. system in all its aspects.
