The GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for Fruit & Vegetables covers all stages of production, from pre-harvest activities such as soil management and plant protection product application to post-harvest produce handling, packing, and storing.
The GLOBALG.A.P. IFA standard for Fruit & Vegetables has been successfully assessed against the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarking requirements and has achieved GFSI recognition for scope BI Farming of Plants and BIII Pre-Processing Handling of Plant Products. .
There are two parallel valid versions of IFA: IFA V5.3-GFS, which has GFSI V7.2 recognition, and IFA V5.2, which will lose its GFSI recognition for certificates issued after 21 May 2020.

The general regulations and crops rules define how the certification process works and list the requirements for quality management systems and related issues.
The national interpretation guideline (NIG) clarifies how the CPCC have been adapted in a specific country. Please check if there is a NIG for your country. If there is, you are required to use it.
