Our purpose – What drives us?
Every generation has a right to safe food. To protect this right now and for future generations, the world’s farms must produce safe food in ways that are socially and environmentally responsible and resilient.

The first step into the new era of smart farm assurance solutions  

Last year saw several years of hard work begin to come to fruition for the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat, Advisory Board, and our stakeholders.  

The launch of the flagship Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) v6 standard and the GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP) v2 add-on in 2022 marked the first step into the new era of smart farm assurance solutions.  

With several more product revisions that same year, GLOBALG.A.P. dove into a complete overhaul of the whole portfolio of farm assurance solutions – including our services – to offer more streamlined, intuitive, and digitalized solutions for the entire sector.  

With IFA v6 Smart becoming obligatory in January 2024, we look forward to supporting transition efforts and hearing out our stakeholders’ experiences as we continue on this journey toward smart farm assurance solutions.
