INTEGRATED FARM ASSURANCE
Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) is GLOBALG.A.P.’s flagship standard.
Applicable to agriculture, floriculture, livestock, and aquaculture in 2021, it was developed in collaboration with stakeholders from across the global supply chain
and takes a holistic approach to responsible farming through the key topics of food safety, environmental sustainability, animal welfare, workers’ well-being, production processes, and traceability.
IFA is tried, tested, and trusted by over 200,000 producers in more than 130 countries worldwide.
GLOBALG.A.P.’s most widely used standard is the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard, which was available in three versions in 2021 (v5.2, v5.3-GFS, and v5.4-1-GFS).

IFA for Crops
The biggest sector under IFA certification is crop production. The crops scope encompasses six sub-scopes: fruit and vegetables, flowers and ornamentals, hops, plant propagation material, combinable crops, and tea.
